Man lives in the objective world. And in man lies the subjective world.
The Artisst Transforms the objects into ideas and also transforms the ideas into objects.
Art is divided mainlu into two types, realism and Surrealism. The forms in Reallism are the reflections of the world perceived by the senses while those in Surrealism are the conceptions of the mind beyond the sense-perceptions.
Artist Rata Ramesh Babu does equally belong both to Reallism and surrealism. Especially he is more interested in the external world around him than the internal world that belongs to the mind within.
His pictorial creations depict the Hunger and Anger, Sorrow and Joy, Hope and Despair, Love and Hate of the Huma beings in the elemental world. The social element is more active in his art than the aesthetic sensation. He is humanitic in his Artistic approach to things of everyday pragmatic experience.
Ramesh babu is an accomplished craftsman in several techniques and mixed media in addition to the act of the selection of themes mainly secular.
A master artist is he whose themes happen to be sensitive and techniques ddelightful. Essentiall is is not so much the theme as the technique that reallly renders a piece of art a masterpiece.
The works reproduced here belong to a variety of themes and techniques; they belong to pecuilar appearances in forms and emotional in sentiments. An ancient theme can be depicted in modern technique and in the same way a modern theme can be done in ancient techniques.
The Present artist is not merely a painter, but also a poet as well, and thus the word and form co-exist in him as parallel lines enabling both the connoisseur and the common person to listen to and see his aesthetic creations.
The titles of his paintings themselves sound pleasant. He is always restless in quest of novelty in his artistic activities. The titles of some of his works are immensely exquisite,'painting to a never born child',' untitled','feminist', 'after death what?','solitude','aurora','thinker','atom is broken', etc., reveal themselves to be what they are and what they are not.
Tata Ramesh Babu is an ideal thinker,a contemplative abstractionist a concrete colorst and a humane human!
